    Default Spread level

    Spread level
Spread is the only of source of earning for a broker. The difference between ASK and BID is called spread. It represents brokerage service costs and replaces transactions fees. Spread is traditionally denoted in pips – a percentage in point, meaning fourth decimal place in currency quotation. Following types of spreads are used in Forex Trading. As narrow spread providing broker I am with Trade12 who offers more than 60 pairs to trade with. Most of the pairs convey narrow floating trading spread with flexible margin level.

Thanks for a detailed explanation of spread. And yes, spread is an important income component for a forex broker. A forex broker is providing its services in exchange of payment and spread is a form of payment which signifies the deviation in bid price form the ask price of a currency pair. For the non dealing desk brokers: they don’t charge any extra commissions and spread is the only source of income for them. But for the dealing desk they charges commissions and transaction fees for their services.

Spread is simply the point difference between the price at which you can sell currency (Bid), and the price at which you can buy currency (Ask).

The basic knowledge about spreads is the difference between the bid prices and ask price. Broker make their profit from spreads. That’s why the broker who provides lowest trading spreads is always good for making profit. TradesFX is giving me 0.9 pips spreads. They keep less commission but provide their trader more profit. Also they have 1: 500 leverage facility with proper risk and money management. Their smart bridge technology is very good for hedging.

    in ro ham eslah kon:
Brokers act as the medium between traders and forex market. And unquestionably they charge fees; commissions; etc. for their services. Spread is a source of income for a broker where spread is the difference between the bids and ask price of a currency pair. However as forex traders, our concentration is always to keep costs lower as possible. For the trader; the lower the spread the better it is. And fortunately my broker AAFX is providing me lowest zero spread.
