I think the broker's demo platform must be used first. If the demo platform provides good service, then the live platform of that broker should be used. If the broker fails to provide proper service, the broker must be dismissed. I have selected a broker using such a formula in Eurotrader brokers.

I think before checking even the demo platform it is important to figure out whether the broker is properly regulated. If it is not, working with it is likely risky and it's best to avoid that.

A lot goes into choosing a broker and there are several reasons why you need a good one. Just for starters, you have to consider how many people have been scammed out of thousands for simply not doing their research. Too many scammers out there. Also, if you choose a broker with high fees, you wind up with less of your profits in your pocket. Hard to reach customer support is another deal breaker, just imagine having an urgent problem and waiting an entire week or more for an answer.

I couldn't agree more, this is why it's very important to verify the regulation status of the broker, make sure you check to see if they are truly regulated and licensed. At least this is what I did with forexchief before opening an account them and it gave me some closure, I checked with VFSC and FMA just to make sure and they checked out fine. I would advise every single trader to do same.
