Equity is your account balance plus the floating profit/loss of your open positions, simple math : Equity = Balance + Floating Profit/Loss.
while Margin: Is the money that will be placed and engaged in the positions that you take. For example, i've got $1000 at my Tickmill account, with the leverage of 1 :1000, I put entry trade with EURUSD use 1 lot size, which means $10 from my account will be engaged in the position ($1000 / 100 = $10). as I can not use this $10 to take any other positions, as long as the position is still open. when close the position, the $10 margin will be released.
regarding any brokers bonuses, most of it only raise margin level, but not the equity level, which means you can put more trade with your account but the margin call level are still intact same as initial deposit amount. in short thus bonus are meant to encourage traders to put more entry trade while the stop out level are count based intitial deposit balance only. hope it help.

many thank's for easy to catch explanation, you put a very nice example using your tickmill account. but I do check their website, it suppose their leverage are max 1:500 ?? I do check with the margin requirement, even with 1:1000 leverage, it suppose only need $1 to open 1 lot size with eurusd trade, or perhaps it;s just a typo? should it be 1:100?

yeah you're right, my mistake, it has to 1:100. Tickmill leverage are capped at 1:500 max. and their new promotion are 15% deposit bonus, a withdrawable bonus, with no limitation, it support margin not only for opening new transaction but also a margin added to stop-out level margin calculation.

yeah surely their bonus offering are one of kind which truly given advantage for traders. I hope they will give another deposit bonu given, since they also introduce new CFD trading instrument available. what kind trading strategies do you use with them, how about applied martingle system? seem promising method and I saw many trader colllect more profit from it.

martingale system are too risky, and it's not a trading system though. it's merely recovery balance system use mostly by gamblers. never found any martingle or grid system survive for long run. better use a more reliable entry method such price action or use support and resistance. better use intraday method, since your account had double advantage since they introduce new deposit bonuses lately. check with tickmill website for details, bonus are up to 15% and it's an honest bonus which added to stop out calculation.
